Buttermilk launches new ranges to Britain and beyond
Artisan confectioner Buttermilk will be making their debut appearance at IFE in London, to showcase innovative new ranges to British and international markets.
Taking place from 19th to 22nd March 2017, Britain’s biggest trade fair for food and drink will see Buttermilk showcasing new Cornish Collaborations and luxury gift box ranges, as well as launching 2017 Christmas lines. Their handmade products can be sampled at Stand N2742 in the North Hall.
Buttermilk is exhibiting at IFE as part of an ambitious new export strategy. Since opening their new Bodmin kitchen in 2015 production capacity has significantly increased, enabling their aim to double the amount of product they export.
Managing director, Tracy McDonnell-Goad said: “We have always attracted customers from across the world, many of whom first discovered our artisan treats on trips to Cornwall.
“Our brand has been developed to appeal to an international audience while reflecting our Cornish heritage. IFE puts Buttermilk in front of a worldwide market, making our confectionery more easily accessible for our customers outside of their visit to Cornwall.
“The fair provides us with the perfect opportunity to meet with existing customers as well as potential stockists and distributors from Britain and beyond, which will contribute to achieving our export goals.”

Cornish Collaborations:
Launched to UK trade in September 2016, Buttermilk’s Cornish Collaborations celebrate the best produce local to their Bodmin kitchen. They include an Earl Grey fudge, which uses ingredients from Truro-based Tregothnan Tea; and a Tarquin’s Gin fudge sharing box, using award-winning spirits from Southwestern Distillery. Both are available in 150g sharing boxes with an RRP of £3.99 each.

Luxury Gift Boxes:
Buttermilk’s new luxury range gift boxes will also be launching to the local and international markets at IFE. A decadent selection of chocolate coated fudge flavours including Caramel Sea Salt, Very Berry and Triple Chocolate are presented beautifully in the stylish new packaging. The nine piece gift box (180g) has an RRP of £6.99, or a sixteen piece gift box (320g) has an RRP of £9.99.

Traditional Fudge Bars:
New luxury traditional fudge bars, inspired by their popular cut and serve selection, can also be found at Buttermilk’s stand. The 225g fudge bars are available in three flavours; Plain chocolate Coated Caramel Sea Salt, White Chocolate Coated Cream Tea and Milk Chocolate Coated Honeycomb. Each bar is coated in rich Belgian chocolate and has an RRP of £3.95. The fudge bars are perfect to share at any occasion, and a unique and easy dessert.

Hosting around 1400 exhibitors from 60 countries, this year IFE expects to welcome over 30,000 buyers from more than 108 countries across the four days.
Buttermilk produces over 60 confectionery products including smooth and crumbly fudge, tablet, brittle and honeycomb. Stirred over open flames in traditional copper pans, the full range in available via the Buttermilk website and at its shops in Padstow and Port Isaac in Cornwall. A selection of Buttermilk confectionery is also available at Sainsbury’s and Booths stores.

Notes to Editors
Buttermilk is a family business, born and bred in Cornwall, now run by Tracy McDonnell-Goad and her husband David Goad. Their love and enthusiasm for everything sweet has been guiding their artisan confectionery since 1964.
All Buttermilk’s treats are lovingly handmade in-house by its craft confectioners, and include smooth and crumbly fudge, tablet, brittle and honeycomb. Stirred over open flames in traditional copper pans, Buttermilk’s skilled team blend ingredients to create irresistible treats. The traditional methods used have been the same since they started over 50 years ago. The kitchen has just got a lot bigger!
