_________________________________________

For 35 years, Fudge Kitchen has been defined by innovation,
trailblazing and uncompromising quality. When their gastro-lab turned its efforts
to developing a free from range, then, those priorities remained central. Which is why the recipe development and search for a sugasubstitute with all the health claims and all
the flavour, without aftertaste, but with a sweetness and texture indistinguishable from sugar, was such an exhaustive one. Indeed a global one, which took them to Belgium and to Zùsto® – a revolutionary sugar replacement, consisting of a unique core matrix of:

➢ An identical taste and texture experience to sugar, with a quarter of the calories and low glycemic content.
➢ Non-digestible, water soluble fibres which originate from natural substances, including corn and superfood chicory, chosen for their health value, which not only provide sweetness and structure, but are also a food source for good bacteria, stimulating intestinal flora, and substantially reduce calories, lowering blood sugar levels.
➢ Behaves like sugar, enabling our coveted, artisan production methods.

Exactly like the original, the sugar-free Peanut Brittle is hand made in small batches, hand stretched on marble by artisans for that perfect thin, sweet snap and crammed with whole, salty peanuts. A marriage made in heaven at the best of times and now also healthy …

Is it or isn’t it ...? Take us up on a head to head, Peanut Brittle Original v Sugar-free Taste Test Challenge …

This is the first Peanut Brittle to use Zùsto®. With none of the
compromises on taste, texture and sweetness levels of existing sugar substitutes, we’re confident that it is indistinguishable from the Great Taste Award winning original.

So much so that we’re inviting to you to either join us at Stand N3128 at IFE, or email lisa@dandelionpr.co.uk with your postal address to receive blind taste test samples of the original sugar version and the new sugar free Peanut Brittle. Simply labelled A and B, we challenge you to identify which is which and email your answer back or log on for your prewarned @fudgekitchen tweet to learn the truth!

All about inclusivity …
While focusing on indistinguishably replicating the original’s flavour, texture and quality, MD Sian Holt explains, it’s also about inclusivity: “It’s less to produce a product that doesn’t contain something - it’s not enough to be free-from - primarily it has to taste good and to make our premium products available to everyone, from diabetics to weightwatchers to food intolerants.”

Editors’ notes …

• Fudge Kitchen’s sugar-free Peanut Brittle will be launched at IFE (stand N3128) from 19th March 2017 as part of the Delectables range of Brittles and Caramels and will be available immediately through http://www.fudegkitchen.co.uk, with further stockists to follow.
Weight: 150g
RRP: £5.99

• Zùsto® has four times less calories than granulated sugar (98kcal <> 400kcal per 100g), but with the same characteristics of taste and volume, making it ideal for diabetics, the health conscious and weightwatchers. The magic ingredient is Zùsto, which includes all the technological functionalities of regular sugar, with all the same applications – from ice cream to cakes. It is mainly comprised of fibres, which provide volume and structure to the product, and the sweetness comes from a blend of sweeteners, including less than 0.1% sucralose (a high intensive sweetener with zero calories). Among other benefits, Zùsto reduces cholesterol, slows glucose absorption, stimulates intestinal flora, relieves constipation and improves lipid metabolism. In the UK, Fudge Kitchen is the exclusive pioneer in Peanut Brittle using it, with more products to follow (www.zusto.us).
