The 7th annual Scottish Gin Awards, one of the UK's largest gin competitions, recently unveiled its winners. North Uist Distillery secured the prestigious Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year for the second consecutive year and Best New Product of the Year for Downpour Coast & Croft Gin. Edinburgh Gin received two Gold Medals in the taste competition, which awarded a total of 11 Gold Medals. Beinn an Tuirc Distillers, South Loch Gin, and Linlithgow Distillery also earned multiple taste medals.

In total, 21 Scottish Gin brands achieved medal status, with 9 winning Gold Medals. Despite the challenges of the year, Chair of the judging panel, Adam Hardie, acknowledged the industry's resilience. Kirsten Speirs, Director of KDMedia and founder of the Scottish Gin Awards, emphasized Scotland's continued production of top-quality gins, showcasing excellence at a national level. The awards, sponsored by Vetroelite, Rankin & Sons, Eastern Exhibition, Joseph Flach & Sons, and Kimia, have become a significant platform since their inception in 2016, with 18 events, 1100 guests, and 1127 products tasted by judges.
