Italian artisanal bakery brand Italo Vezzoli will showcase its range of traditional Italian leavened pastries at the International Food & Drink Event, taking place from 30 March to 1 April 2026 at ExCeL London as part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week.

Rooted in a family baking tradition that dates back to the early 1900s in the province of Bergamo, northern Italy, Italo Vezzoli represents a unique synthesis of heritage craftsmanship, technical expertise and contemporary refinement.

The story begins in the small town of Zandobbio, where grandfather Guido opened a family bakery that would become the foundation of a tradition passed down through generations. Over the decades, the Vezzoli family preserved the values of artisanal production, dedication to quality and respect for traditional baking methods.

At the end of the 1990s, the family chose to give a new direction to this heritage with the creation of In Croissanteria Lab, a laboratory dedicated to research and specialization in the world of great Italian leavened products. Within this environment of experimentation and craftsmanship, the brand Italo Vezzoli took shape.

At IFE London, the company will present its full range of artisanal products, including its signature panettone, produced exclusively with natural sourdough that has been carefully maintained and refreshed for three generations.

A slow fermentation process lasting more than 36 hours allows the dough to develop exceptional lightness, a soft and delicate structure and a rich aromatic profile. This long natural leavening process is a defining element of the product and reflects the brand’s commitment to traditional Italian baking techniques.

Great attention is also devoted to the selection of ingredients, chosen with care to ensure balance, quality and authenticity in the final product. Each stage of production is carried out with meticulous attention inside the family laboratory, where historic Artofex mixers work alongside modern baking technologies.

This balance between tradition and innovation allows Italo Vezzoli to preserve the authenticity of artisanal baking while achieving the consistency and precision required by contemporary high-quality production.
