Enterprise Georgia

Stand: N1610
Enterprise Georgia is a Legal Entity of Public Law (LEPL) under Georgia’s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, established in March 2014 to strengthen the competitiveness of the private sector—especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—through integrated business development, investment promotion, and export support instruments.

The agency operates through three complementary pillars:

Business Development (Enterprise Georgia – Business). This pillar supports the growth and modernization of Georgian companies by providing targeted programs and incentives that improve access to finance, encourage investment, and help businesses expand capacity and productivity. Depending on the instrument, support may include financial and technical mechanisms designed to accelerate private-sector development and encourage new projects across priority areas.

Investment Promotion (Enterprise Georgia – Invest / Invest in Georgia). The Invest division’s core mission is to attract, promote, and facilitate foreign direct investment (FDI) in Georgia. It functions as a practical “one-stop shop” for investors—helping them navigate opportunities, connect with relevant public institutions, and access up-to-date information needed for decision-making. The division supports investors throughout the investment lifecycle, from initial inquiry to implementation and aftercare, acting as a key interface between foreign companies and the Government of Georgia.

Export Promotion (Enterprise Georgia – Export / Trade with Georgia). Enterprise Georgia advances the internationalization of Georgian firms and works to increase export readiness and diversification. Through its export support instruments, the agency provides technical assistance to export-oriented companies, aiming to reduce practical barriers to exporting and to introduce mechanisms that stimulate international sales and help diversify markets, products, and services. Applications and information for export support initiatives are also available through the Trade with Georgia platform, which serves as a gateway for exporters and international partners.

By combining these three pillars, Enterprise Georgia offers an end-to-end public support ecosystem—from strengthening local enterprise capabilities, to connecting businesses with global markets, to facilitating investor entry and expansion—contributing to sustainable economic growth, job creation, and greater integration of Georgia’s economy into international value chains.
