Santa Teresa
From this humble beginning, Santa Teresa Gourmet has grown into a national and international gourmet brand recognized for quality, authenticity, and innovation. The company’s guiding philosophy — often summed up as “somos lo que comemos” (“we are what we eat”) — reflects its commitment to producing food that is both nutritious and delicious, using only 100 % natural ingredients, free of preservatives and artificial additives. This principle underpins all product lines and resonates strongly with consumers who care about health, sustainability, and taste.
A turning point in the company’s history came in the late 1980s, when new leadership expanded the range beyond sweets by introducing high-quality quince paste (membrillo), made in the traditional way from fresh fruit without additives. This product quickly became a cornerstone of the portfolio and a catalyst for further diversification into other gourmet offerings.
Today Santa Teresa Gourmet’s portfolio spans over 100 references that blend Spanish culinary tradition with contemporary preferences. Alongside its renowned Yemas and membrillo, the brand produces a variety of quince products, soups, gazpachos, salmorejos, vegetable creams, sauces, hummus and ready-to-eat dishes — all designed to deliver authentic Mediterranean flavor with convenience and nutritional integrity. Particularly noteworthy are the company’s gazpachos and cold soups, prepared with carefully selected vegetables and olive oil, capturing fresh, balanced flavors with no added water or artificial ingredients.
Since 2012, Santa Teresa Gourmet has expanded into over 20 international markets including Germany, the UK, France, Belgium, the USA and Japan, while maintaining a strong presence in Spain. It has also established gourmet spaces — Santa Teresa Shops — in Ávila and Madrid where customers can enjoy and purchase products directly.
Santa Teresa Gourmet stands today as a testament to how tradition and innovation can co-exist: preserving age-old recipes while embracing modern production, sustainability and global tastes, all rooted in the belief that what we eat shapes how we live.
