APEDA Showcases India’s Agri & Processed Food Basket at IFE 2026
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is participating in IFE London 2026, being held from 30th March to 01 April at ExCeL London, United Kingdom. The participation aims to strengthen India’s agri and processed food exports by showcasing its diverse, high-quality and export-ready product basket to global buyers and stakeholders.
The India Pavilion was inaugurated by Ms Nidhi Mani Tripathi, Minister (Economic), High Commission of India in the presence of other officials from the Mission and senior officials from APEDA, and representatives from the Indian export community. The pavilion reflects India’s growing capabilities in delivering safe, sustainable, and value-added food products aligned with global standards and consumer preferences.
The event witnessed strong international participation, with leading buyers, importers, retailers, and distributors from across Europe and other key global markets visiting the India Pavilion and engaging in business interactions with Indian exporters.
A total of 29 Indian exporters are participating under the APEDA pavilion, showcasing a wide range of products such as dehydrated vegetables, garlic and onion products, fresh fruits and vegetables, pickled and processed products including gherkins, millets and millet-based products, spices, rice, and other agricultural commodities. Exhibitors from the Spice Board also exhibited their products under the APEDA India pavilion. The participation highlights India’s diverse and export-oriented agri ecosystem and its ability to cater to evolving global consumer demands.
A key attraction at the India Pavilion is the dedicated Wet Sampling Area, where visitors are experiencing authentic Indian cuisine through live cooking demonstrations featuring GI-tagged products of India. The curated menu includes dishes such as Manipuri Black Chakhao Rice Kheer (GI tagged), Makhana Crème Corn & Gucchi Mushroom Soup (GI tagged ingredients), and Qubli Batrish – Kurdish Pomegranate Rice with Saffron (GI tagged). These live culinary presentations are offering international buyers a first-hand sensory experience of India’s unique ingredients, regional diversity, and rich food heritage, while also demonstrating their versatility in global cuisine.
IFE London is one of the leading international platforms for the food and beverage sector, providing opportunities for exporters to explore new markets, understand global trends, and establish long-term business partnerships. India’s participation at the event is further strengthening its position as a reliable sourcing destination for high-quality agricultural and processed food products.
Through its participation in IFE London 2026, APEDA continues to promote India’s agri exports by facilitating market access, enabling B2B engagements, and showcasing the country’s strengths in value-added and sustainable food production, thereby contributing to the growth of India’s global agri trade.
