The British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) has opened entries for the 2027 British Frozen Food Awards, celebrating quality, creativity and innovation across the frozen food industry.

Businesses that have launched a new retail or foodservice frozen product within the past 12 months are invited to enter the awards, which are open to both established companies and emerging brands.

Products are assessed by consumers and professional chefs, with successful entrants able to display the BFFF Award logo across their packaging and marketing.

According to recent research conducted by BFFF in partnership with Vypr, 45% of frozen food shoppers associate an award-winning logo with better taste and flavour, while 46% are more likely to purchase a frozen product featuring an award logo from an industry body such as BFFF.

The research also found that 61% of consumers would be willing to pay up to £3 more for a frozen food product displaying an award-winning logo. Among shoppers aged 25–34, more than 67% said they would be more inclined to purchase frozen products featuring an award logo on the packaging.

BFFF says recognition through the awards can help businesses raise the profile of their new product development, build buyer confidence and support retail listings, in-store promotions and media coverage.

The awards offer frozen food producers an opportunity to showcase their product development expertise and distinguish their products within a competitive retail and foodservice marketplace.
