New multiyear partnership debuts with what Gopuff says is the world's first electrolyte-enhanced packaged ice

England footballer Cole Palmer has announced a multiyear strategic partnership with instant commerce platform Gopuff that will see the pair develop new products, content and customer experiences, beginning with the launch of COLE'D, a premium packaged ice brand available exclusively through Gopuff in the UK and US.

The launch marks Palmer's first venture into product development, with the footballer taking an active role in shaping the concept, creative direction, packaging and content for the range.

While football remains Palmer's primary focus, the COLE'D project was developed during time away from the pitch over recent months, reflecting his growing interest in business and engaging with supporters beyond matchdays.

The brand is inspired by Palmer's widely recognised "Cold Palmer" celebration, which originated as a nickname created by fans before evolving into one of football's most recognisable celebrations. COLE'D aims to translate that identity into a consumer product, repositioning packaged ice as a premium category.

"Gopuff was already part of the routine, so when they came to me with the idea, it just made sense," said Palmer. "What started as a bit of fun turned into something proper. I've been involved in everything – the product, the packaging, the content – and that's what interested me. The fans started the whole 'Cold Palmer' thing in the first place, so it's nice to turn that into something everyone can be part of."

The partnership combines Palmer's on-pitch persona with a household product used daily by millions of consumers. Gopuff said the collaboration aims to bring innovation to a category that has seen relatively little product development, introducing new formats and experiences.


 

Available exclusively through Gopuff in both the UK and US, every product in the COLE'D range is made using filtered, purified water and includes:

  • COLE'D Pebble Ice with Electrolytes – described by Gopuff as the world's first electrolyte-enhanced packaged ice, designed with active lifestyles in mind and made using purified water with added natural electrolytes.

  • COLE'D Premium Craft Ice Spheres – a four-pack of football-shaped ice spheres designed for premium drinks and watch parties, frozen slowly for clarity and longevity.

  • COLE'D Traditional Ice Cubes – purified water ice cubes designed to provide a cleaner taste for everyday use.
