Traditionally Indigenous people milled the anise myrtle leaves into a vitalising medicinal tonic with liquorice and fresh eucalypt flavours. Anise myrtle is rich in antioxidants, magnesium, calcium, zinc and a good source of folate, lutein, vitamin C, vitamin E and potassium. Also known as ‘anisata spice’, it's an Aussie substitute for aniseed or star anise.
