The milk is boiled and then hung in a muslin cloth to drain the excess water. It is then further put in jute bags and pressed hard to get the chewable churpi cheese.
Churpi as snacks is healthy and highly nutritious given its high content percentage of protein, Omega 3 fatty acids, and antioxidants. Churpi cheese is also a rich source of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, vitamin A, D, E, and all the B vitamins! Churpi, much like the Italian ricotta, is also made from whey. It is soft, white, and neutral in taste.
