iSqueeze adds pineapple slicing machine ‘Isla’ to its portfolio of self-service technology

Isla is set to transform the way people consume natural pineapple, instead of pre-packaged on the shelf, Isla offers machine cut and served on the premises to guarantee the freshest quality. In just 15 seconds Isla cuts off the crown, removes the peel and the core of the pineapple, cuts into slices, chunks or sticks, packaged in a fully recyclable cardboard box. The machine is adaptable to varying fruit sizes, meaning retailers will get the most out of its pineapples. Customers will also benefit, as a whole pineapple 600g (on average) is retailing from just £3.49 whereas pre-cut pineapple on average is sold at £2.30 for £300g. Best kept refrigerated with a shelf life of three days.
