Vanilla wafers
A thin wafer, very light and crispy, without eggs or butter, flavored with Bourbon vanilla. When the wafers are rolled, they are called “chalumeaux”, a specialty from the city of Albi in the South of France. These fine cookies may be enjoyed as is or paired with a dessert (ice cream, custard, fruit salad) or a hot drink.
