Pied a Terre
Born and raised in Athens, Asimakis is the executive chef of one Michelin-starred Pied à Terre on London’s Charlotte Street. Over the course of his career Asimakis has worked in a variety of kitchens, from hotel chains to restaurants and British pubs, and from fine dining to banquets, exhibition centres, and even a private yaght. Asimakis briefly worked at Thomas Keller’s award-winning New York restaurant, Per Se, before successfully applying for a job at David Moore’s celebrated London restaurant when he was 22. He trained under Marcus Eaves and Andy McFadden, gradually climbing the ranks until he was named executive head chef of the restaurant in 2018. Only 27 at the time, Asimakis was the youngest Michelin-starred chef in the capital, as well as the first Greek native to receive the accolade.
