Hamish Renton is the CEO of HRA Global, a specialist consultancy working across food, drink and agri-food. With more than 20 years’ experience spanning retail, manufacturing and strategy, Hamish is known for bringing clarity to complex industry challenges – from sustainability and consumer behaviour to innovation, growth and global market shifts.
A respected speaker and commentator, Hamish is a regular presence at industry conferences, panels and webinars, and frequently appears in the media, including BBC News and Channel 4. He is particularly valued for his ability to translate fast-moving trends – such as protein, dairy, meat alternatives, GLP-1s and changing shopper expectations – into practical, commercially grounded insight.
Before founding HRA Global, Hamish held senior leadership roles including heading the Free-From category at Tesco and has since advised a wide range of global and UK food brands on strategy, innovation and future-proofing their businesses.
