Phil Nicholls has worked in the software industry for nearly thirty years. He started as a software developer in the library sector in the mind 1990s and was an early pioneer of using the internet to solve problems for customers. Phil has worked in various sectors during his career, consulting to government agencies and multinational corporations. He joined Brambles in 2022 as a software architect and was soon promoted to lead the software development team working within Digital Customer Solutions - helping customers to improve their supply chains by leveraging insights from the data in the SCI software. Day to day he leads a dedicated team of product managers, software developers, designers, QAs and documenters; to add more functionality to the software and improve the accuracy and time to insight for customers.

In his spare time, Phil is an amateur magician, gamer, and enjoys singing. He is also currently mentoring students to enter the world of work as part of the LELA programme at the University of Liverpool.
