Tasting Trends NEW FOR 2019

Tasting Trends is an exciting new street-food style experiential feature giving you the opportunity to see and taste all the up-and-coming food & drink trends of 2019.

  • You will be guided through the feature where several pioneering chefs will be cooking innovative recipes focused on up and coming food & drink trends.
  • On each day of the show a different trend will be featured. There will be 5 tours a day lasting approximately 30 minutes in total.
  • Join our vertical wall partners, Rootlabs, at the end of each session with a workshop where you will make your own punnet of delicious microgreens to take home with you. Sam Cox will talk you through vertical farming methods and how these can be used in your company to get the freshest microgreens and herbs with minimal effort and carbon footprint.

Join the Rootlabs team to learn about all about the science behind soilless growing techniques.

Head back to the vertical farm at the end of the tour to seed a punnet of delicious microgreens to take home. In this workshop you will learn all about high-tech growing methods and how you can produce delicious fresh salads and herbs throughout the year.

Starter 

The Wasabi Company The Wasabi Company will be showcasing some of the wonderful japanese movements we've seen recently, including their very own wasabi, which, whilst originating in Japan, is all made in England. They will discuss some of the flavours that come through, and the history behind it.

Sam Ashton Booth Food Waste means a huge amount to Sam Ashton Booth, Head Chef of Stem Restaurant. Cooking with reducing food waste in mind comes naturally to Sam, and he loves to find different ways to turn food waste into new ingredients. Come and see him on the last day of the show to learn his tips and tricks on how to reduce wastage in the kitchen.
