Hoi Huat Group is a modern marine aquafarming company with over 37 years of experience, specializing in marine prawns, sea bass, and primarily milk fish. The Group comprises six sister companies: Hoi Huat Aquaculture Sdn Bhd, Hoi Huat Industries Sdn Bhd, Usaha Fadzilat (M) Sdn Bhd, Usaha Fadzilat Industries Sdn Bhd Hoi Huat Transport Sdn Bhd and UF Food & Packaging Sdn Bhd. We are well known for producing tiger prawns, Pacific white shrimps, and are the only aquaculturist in the country which successfully cultivate milk fish on a large scale.
Hoi Huat Group has approximately 200 acres of aquafarming land with over 31 active ponds. Our intensive research on milkfish (Chanos chanos), with fry imported from Taiwan, has led to successful mass cultivation and commercial marketing in Malaysia, producing 2000 to 2500 tons annually. As the country's pioneer in milkfish aquaculture, we aim to introduce this nutritious, protein-rich fish to the local market. Although milkfish has been popular in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Taiwan for 300 years, it's new to Malaysia. With our new factory equipped with advanced processing machines, we are also moving into value-added processing. We plan to produce canned or bottled milkfish, fish balls, floss, quick-frozen whole milkfish, or prime cuts for export to China, Japan and the Middle East, where demand is high.
