Pigface Mustard Pickle
Native pigface (Karkalla) is a traditional bush food, popular with Indigenous Australians for its healing and nutritional value. It's loaded with antioxidants and an excellent source of fibre, iron and calcium. The whole plant is edible and unlike many succulents, it has no spikes, scales or prickles. The plump juicy leaves and beautiful daisy-like flowers are tasty, but the most delicious part of the plant is the red-purple berry fruit that tastes like salty apples or fresh figs. Pigface is an all-year-round native bush food that grows along coastal areas throughout Australia.
Pigface Mustard Pickle is made from 90% Australian ingredients. Its salty, slightly spicy flavour is ideal with cheese, falafels, mashed potato, pasta, mussels, sausage rolls, corned beef sandwiches, or add to white sauce for pickled pork and honey glazed ham.
