Ian Wright is co-Chair of the FDSC - the UK Government’s principal policy advisory body on the sector. He was Chief Executive of the Food. & Drink Federation from 2015-2021 and, before that, Corporate Relations Director of Diageo plc for 14 years. During Covid19 and through the Brexit process he has been one of the most prolific and respected writers and broadcasters on the nation’s food and drink industry. At Easter 2021 Ian was the first food industry leader to draw attention to rising inflation and increasing difficulties in the industry supply chain. In addition to his role at the FDSC Ian is a non executive director of and advisor to a series of UK businesses. He was awarded the CBE for political and public service in 2015.
