With 25 years of experience in international sales, Katie Birrell has worked with businesses ranging from early-stage start-ups to established food and drink brands, including leading the international growth of Nairn’s as a board member. This experience has given her a practical understanding of the real challenges exporters face—from regulation and route-to-market decisions to building the right partnerships and remaining resilient as trade conditions evolve. She was also a member of the FDEA Management Committee for four years prior to taking on the role of Managing Director.
